Like a family there
The best friends one can ever find are those friends we found out in the very childhood. While kids people never bother about the material stuff and they love people for who they are but not for what they can do for you. It is true and it is a rule and if there is a rule there is an exception of it. And the exception of it is hidden in the dormitory – the place where students live together. They are people from different places and so it happened that now they are living together. They spend together a great amount of time and there are a lot of things they do together. It is the friendship that is hardened with years they live and study together. It is like they are family but not just people who study at the same university. They live together and they spend the whole day together especially in case they are students of the same year and faculty. And those friends that people find in the university living in the dormitory together are usually friends that stay by their side for a long time and it is even sometimes till the end of days.
They have rules
Dormitory is like a huge house for those people who came to study at the university or college and they are from foreign countries or other cities. So, they live in that huge house together and so there should be rules to help those people to live together. All of them are different and sometimes they are also people of different cultures and so there are some universal rules are needed. As a rule, those are the same for all dormitories. It is not allowed for people to drink spirits at the dormitory and there is also a time pointed out when they have no right to leave dormitory. But, why there are rules if there are no people to break those. People always break rules because they are young and vivid and they have this life to live but not to spend it staying at dormitory and reading books. They break rules and they have fun but there is no breaking of rules that is not punished after. They are often punished but this punishment rare makes them change their behavior and follow those rules they were told to follow.

Influence of your neighborhood on your children
Growing children are like sponges that absorb anything and everything that happens to or around them. Aping the actions of adult members of their own family or other adults with whom they are in close proximity is the primary learning method that they adopt early on in life. The society that they live in, the neighborhood in which they grow up and the education that they receive both through experience as well as the formal one, all determine the kind of individual the child grows up to be.
As children grow, the intensity that these social interactions have on their general outlook gradually diminish. After a certain age children tend to focus more on the behavior of their peers and try to imbibe those characteristics which they think would be ideal for them. Although most parents don’t realize it, their children can be influenced greatly by other children of the same age or even adults in the neighborhood. Children living in the same neighborhood have many things in common, which might include sharing the same playing space, going to the same school or being part of a car pool.
Peer pressure is also another factor that might influence your child’s outlook. If one of the older kids in the neighborhood suggests smoking as cool behavior, there is a chance that your child would choose to believe it is so at the risk of disagreeing with you. Most parents often fall prey to complacency in dealing with these things, resulting in their children understanding and interpreting things around them very differently from how they actually are.

Our Dormitory
Well you finally made it, out from under mom and dad’s watchful eye, and into the responsible world of college. Now that you’re in your dormitory and have met your friends you still want to contribute to the social and economic issues that face the world. What better way than to decorate your dormitory in the greenest way possible?
At first this may seem like a daunting task but get the help of your dormitory mates and start thinking outside of the box. Go to thrift stores or ask your parents for old furniture, stuff that they really do not want back; you can convert the old furniture into something totally new. Old rug swatches can be hung on your dormitory walls in a modern and eclectic form of 3D modern art. Used water bottles can be collected and used to make lights or small vases from a unique flower arrangement. There is paint that is now available that has been certified as green and it does the job as well as any other paint.
One thing to not forget is to make sure that there is a recyclable can in every room of your dormitory, so that there is no excuse for someone not recycling. Post signs and make them obvious with the information of what is exactly recyclable in your area. Transforming your dormitory into a green one is a great way to meet the other students that live there and a great way to contribute to the conservation of our planet.
